Personality: Isolde is empathetic, forgiving, and utterly kind, but possesses a strong resolve, and will not hesitate to protect with lethal force. She is polite and well-spoken, and embarrasses easily when her naiveness of the world begins to show. Her childhood consisted of brutal training; for this reason she has strong physical and mental endurance, and a higher pain threshold. Despite her upbringing, she has always been sympathetic towards stallions, not realizing that her pity and urge to coddle them (because she does not think they are capable of protecting themselves) is its own form of prejudice.
History: Isolde was raised in the distant herd of Bresma, where the culture is harsh, rigid, and fiercely matriarchal, to the point that stallions are culled, enslaved, and often mutilated. Born in the warrior caste, she and her sister were put through years of harsh and often lethal training, culminating in a deadly competition to become the guards of the lead mare's young heir, Tahira. By a stroke of luck, both sisters were the last standing, and they were awarded the honor of serving the new princess with their lives. Isolde's world quickly became focused on the unicorn: protecting her, teaching her, and keeping her out of trouble despite her insistence that trouble was the only activity worth doing. When Tahira forged a forbidden relationship with a working class slave, Isolde nervously tried to dissuade her, worried for her charge's fate if she were caught. And, inevitably, she was. In the chaos of the resulting uproar, Isolde and her sister cut a path in blood, shepherding their exiled princess and a rescued colt towards freedom. Though they were pursued, the sisters kept their tiny group one step ahead with their wits, strategy and a pinch of magic. They arrived in Hiltaii several weeks later, weary and worn but no less happy to settle in relative safety.

- She is uniquely talented with magic, surpassing even the average unicorn, and her abilities range from devastating area of effect spells to the healing arts.

Personality: Bella is brave, fiercely loyal, and somewhat churlish. Neither hesitance nor surrender are in her nature, and she will fervently fight until she falls dead to keep Tahira safe. In social interactions she is often curt and displays an alarming indifference to potential allies. Fueled by upbringing and the circumstances of their exile, Bella retains a strong prejudice towards stallions, none of whom she detests more than Sforzando for his perceived insolence when interacting with her charge. Like Isolde, she has incredible endurance and a high pain threshold.

Inevitably, Tahira was caught with the stallion, and an uproar began. Bloody and bruised but refusing to lay down and given in, Bella and her sister slaughtered their way through the chaos to freedom, Tahira and a rescued colt in tow. Though they were pursued, the sisters kept their tiny group one step ahead with their wits, strategy and a pinch of magic. They arrived in Hiltaii several weeks later, weary and worn but no less happy to settle in relative safety.
